Professional Practice

Shortly after the completion of his master’s degree in Biochemistry, Stephan Kessler discovered his interest in intellectual property which led him to participate at postgraduate studies at the ETH in Zürich, where he acquired a master’s degree in intellectual property. After a short internship he started with his first job as „patent liaison“ at a mayor international medical technology company. To acquire the practical experience required to qualify as European Patent Attorney, he took a position as patent engineer at a patent law firm in the eastern part of Switzerland, where he gained patent related knowledge in a multitude of technical fields.

Master’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Berne

2007:

Master’s degree of advanced studies in intellectual property (MAS IP) at the ETH in Zürich and internship at the patent department of a major chocolate producer

2008: 

Patent Liaison at a major medical technology company

2009: 

Patent engineer at a patent law firm in the eastern part of Switzerland

2012: 

Patent engineer at Keller & Partner Patentanwälte AG

2013:

Admission as European Patent Attorney
